Due Process of Law: Absent from Judge Wills’ Monterey County Courtroom

In Monterey County, California, Judge Thomas Wills imposed life sentences on three elderly women.  None of the women committed any crime.  None of the women was allowed to address the court or answer the allegations against her.  Yet, each woman was torn from her family and incarcerated, stripped of her rights to make decisions for herself.  In court hearings lasting only a few minutes, hearings with no evidence and no testimony, Judge Wills placed each of these women under conservatorship of strangers.
